A Portuguese mortgage, even from abroad.
As a registered credit intermediary, we compare offers from several banks, prepare your file in English and follow it to approval. The bank decides; we make sure it decides quickly.

Of the value, typically, depending on the bank and your income.
For a home you live in. Lower for one you let.
Shorter as you get older; banks look at age at the end of the loan.
The bank pays our commission. It never changes your rate.
What would you pay each month?
Have these ready, and it goes faster.
- Passport and your Portuguese tax number (NIF)
- Last 3 payslips, or 2 years of accounts if self-employed
- Last tax return from where you live
- 3 months of bank statements
- A credit report from your country, if the bank asks
Banks in Portugal accept documents in English. We tell you exactly which ones each bank needs.

Mortgage questions.
Fixed or variable?
Most Portuguese mortgages are variable, linked to Euribor, or mixed: fixed for the first years, then variable. We show you both and what a 1-point rise in Euribor would cost you.
How long does approval take?
Usually 3 to 5 weeks from a complete file: pre-approval, the bank's valuation of the home, then the final offer (FINE), which you must have for at least 7 days before signing.
Can I repay early?
Yes. Early repayment fees are capped by law: up to 0.5% on variable-rate loans and up to 2% on fixed.
Do I need life insurance?
Banks require it for the loan amount, but you can buy it from any insurer, not only the bank. We compare quotes.
Find out what you can borrow.
Send us your income and the deposit you have. We will tell you which banks will lend, how much and roughly at what rate, before you look at a single home.
